Margaret Winikates is a writer and museum educator from Boston, MA.  She majored in English Literature and Language at Harvard University and studied poetry and composition with Peter Sacks and Douglas Powell.  She lives in Sharon, MA, works as Director of Engagement for the New England Museum Association, and is a board member of the Sharon Historical Society. Meg is co-editor and occasional author for NEMA’s professional journal, New England Museums Now, and has previously been a contributing writer to the Peabody Essex Museum blog, Connected. 

She previously served as secretary, board member, and editorial team co-chair for the Museum Education Roundtable, and is a currently a member of the Leadership Council for MassCreative as well as on the steering committee for Create the Vote.
